FRYEBURG – A school bus and a pickup truck collided on Route 113 Tuesday morning, but no one was hurt, officials said.

The pickup truck was in front of the bus and pulled a U-turn near the Hastings Road intersection. It scraped against the school bus at slow speed, said a spokesperson at the Fryeburg Police Department.

The names of the drivers were not available, the spokesman said.

There were six kindergarten students on the bus, headed home after school. Fryeburg Police and Fryeburg Ambulance responded to the scene, but there was no need for any treatment.

The bus is owned by Aaron Bennett, who contracts with SAD 72 for school bus service.
