OXFORD – Oxford Pomona met at Oxford Grange 46 on Dec. 2 and meetings have been recessed until March.

Oxford Grange has a number of new members who since October have taken all seven degrees of the order. Some have already taken offices in their Grange.

Members brought in items for a food bank and this year the food went to the Rumford area. Cards were exchanged.

The program consisted of humorous readings, Earl Andrews read one about a man who knew everybody; Nancy Mercer read “A Letter to My Pet,” Russell Yates read about a realistic exercise program, and Olive Risko read a serious one about how the seemingly small kindness can be the most important thing you ever did. Christmas songs were sung.

Potluck refreshments were enjoyed in the dining hall after the meeting.

The Pomona will reconvene in March with Rumford Grange 115. It is expected that Stan Howe and Jim Lowe will show slides or film on their recent trip to the Netherlands and tell about their experiences there and in other European countries.
