• Jan. 8, 3:15 p.m. – A SAD 43 elementary school student complained of minor neck pain following a wreck Thursday afternoon between a car and a school bus. According to police, Scott H. Milligan, 17, of Rumford, the driver of a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, was unable to stop at 3:15 p.m. on South Rumford Road and ran under a 1998 Bluebird school bus with 25 students aboard. The driver of the bus was Richard A. Blodgett, 30, of Andover. The bus was stopped to drop off students and Milligan was blinded by the sun and didn’t see the bus and plowed into it. No one was injured. The Cavalier sustained an estimated $6,000 damage, while the bus sustained $1,000 damage.

• Jan. 7, 7:37 p.m. – Police stopped a vehicle on a speeding infraction on Route 2 Wednesday evening and learned the male driver was in possession of police identification and a badge. After investigating the offense of impersonating a public servant, the officer confiscated the police ID and badge. Because no one was charged, police Friday would divulge no other details.

• Jan. 7 – Police on Friday – citing an open investigation – declined to release any details pertaining to a theft from a motor vehicle other than to say that the item taken was a pair of boots valued at $209.

• Jan. 5 – A gross sexual assault was reported. Police would not release any other information Friday.

Arrests

• Casey C. Flagg, 25, of Dixfield, on charges of operating under the influence, operating after suspension, possession of a suspended license, and possession of drug paraphernalia, on Jan. 9.

He was released on $8,000 surety bail.

• Robert Anderton, 46, Dixmont, on a Hancock County Sheriff’s warrant for failure to appear, on Jan. 6. He was transported to Oxford County jail in Paris.

Summons

• Roadrunner Taxi of Bethel, formerly Bethel Express Corp., and Courtesy Cab of Rumford, were both charged with operating without a license, a violation of a town ordinance, at 3 p.m. Jan. 6.
