AUBURN – People from the greater Lewiston-Auburn area from various ethnic, cultural, national and faith groups will gather at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, for a multi-cultural potluck dinner.

The gathering is sponsored by the Maine Rural Workers Coalition, the Downtown Neighborhood Association and the Baha’i Community as part of the Many and One Coalition’s 10 days of Community, Diversity, and Justice.

Similar community suppers have been held as part of the Week Without Violence and on Race Unity Day for more than 20 years.

The purpose is to enhance harmony within our communities and neighborhoods through a greater sense of awareness that good neighbors come in all colors.

Everyone is welcome to share in a variety of ethnic foods, traditional dress, Native-American drumming, music and fellowship. Bring a favorite ethnic dish to share. Recipes would be appreciated. For more information, con
