The time has come to do something about illegal immigration into this country. Note, I refer to illegal immigration. There are tens of thousands of illegal immigrants crossing our borders every year. They are draining millions of dollars from our coffers that could be used for the better enhancement of those of us that are here legally. Many of these illegal immigrants are criminals or worse.
This country was settled by immigrants from other countries that came here through legal means and bettered their lives and the country. I abhor granting amnesty to any and all illegal immigrants. Let them come to this country through the proper channels.
It’s time for the Bush administration to seal our borders and protect American citizens. President Clinton granted amnesty to a million illegal immigrants in 1994. Are we to expect the current president to do the same in order to gain a few votes?
