FRYEBURG – The 11th annual silent auction will be held Saturday, April 3, at the Fryeburg Academy Gibson Recreational Center, hosted by the academy, Project Graduation and the class of 2004.
“Area merchants in past years have donated more than 500 items,” according to Jane Dutton, coordinator for the event. “Gifts are coming in and the community support we have received is overwhelming.”
Dutton reports that she is expecting more participation than in the past. “Last year we had an overwhelming turnout. Already people are asking me about this year’s auction so I know they are getting anxious. Proceeds from the auction benefit the chemical-free trip for the graduating class.
The public is invited to place bids on articles for auction between the hours of 4 and 6:30 p.m. on April 3. The drawing will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Project Graduation wil accept donations up to the day of the auction. Anyone wishing to donate items or looking for more information, can contact Jane Dutton at 935-2818 or Betsy Jackson at 935-4024
