SOUTH PARIS – Wood marketing will be the topic of the 7 p.m. Jan. 22 meeting of the Western Maine Chapter of the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine.
Les Bragdon, a log buyer from E.D. Bessey & Sons of Hinkley, and Richard Smith from Timber Resource Group will discuss current marketing strategies, the network of log concentration yards around the state and the end markets for various species. This is a chance for small woodland owners to improve their wood marketing opportunities.
The meeting, open to anyone, will be held in Room 118 at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. The room is located off the cafeteria which is accessed by the back parking lot entrance.
