1919 – 2004

TURNER – Hazel V. Sennett, 84, a long time resident of Upper Street in Turner, died Friday, Jan. 16, at her home, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.

Born in Turner, March 1, 1919, the daughter of George W. and Etta Berry Varney, she was a graduate of Leavitt Institute, Class of 1937.

In 1938, she married Albert Sennett of Turner. They made their home and raised their family on Upper Street in Turner.

Survivors include her husband of Turner; five children, Jean Morris, Diana Richardson, Mollie Dumais and Scott Sennett, all of Turner and Martha Hammond of Sidney; a sister, Hilda Caldwell of Turner; four brothers, Paul Varney of Turner, George Varney of Turner, Sherman Varney of Florida, and Charles Varney of Greene; grandchildren, Peggy Perkins of Greene, Dana and Jeff Richardson of Auburn, David Hammond of Sidney, Sarah and Matthew Sennett, and Megan and Nathan Dumais of Turner; great-grandchildren, Chris Garrity of Greene, and Jennifer Garrity of New Hampshire; and great-great-grandson, Connor Garrity of Greene.

She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Warren Varney.
