TUFTONBORO, N.H. – Kenneth R. Simard, 44, of Tuftonboro, N.H., died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 17.

Born in West Palm Springs, Fla., March 26, 1959, the son of Roger and Tonia (Myrick) Simard of Poland Spring. He was a graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn and the University of Southern Maine.

“Ken” was employed as the director of food service at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H.

His life centered around his family and friends, especially his daughters, Danielle, 7 and Hannah, 5. He gave to others unconditionally. He will be greatly missed.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing and spending time with his daughters and their dog at the family’s trout pond.

Survivors include his daughters, Danielle and Hannah Simard and their mother, Andie (Gregory) Simard of Portsmouth, N.H.; his parents, Roger and Tonia (Myrick) Simard of Poland Spring; a grandmother, Ella (Levesque) Myrick of Auburn; a sister, Kellie (Simard) Patti and her husband, Kurt of Towanda, Ill.; a brother, Kevin and his wife, Michelle Simard of Bozeman, Mont.; a brother, Kurt and his wife, Lauren Simard of Portsmouth, N.H.; a sister, Karen Simard of Portland; and five nieces and nephews.
