JAY – Police are investigating an assault on a 16-year-old Maxwell Road boy Friday.

The assault took place at a home on Maxwell Road.

The suspect fled on foot. Franklin County Sheriff’s Cpl. Nathan Bean and the tracking dog Ben were called in to search for the suspect, Jay officer Russell Adams said. They didn’t find him, Adams added.

The victim went to the hospital to be treated, he said.

Police are still looking for the male suspect.
