LEWISTON – R. Virginia Chadburn, 81, of Auburn, died Jan. 6, at d’Youville Pavilion, after a long illness.
Born in Auburn, April 26, 1922, the daughter of Eldon G. and Cyrena (Carter) Bisbee, she was a graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn.
Mrs. Chadburn worked for several area businesses as office and credit manager. She married Hermon J. Chadburn in 1941 and he died in 1972.
Survivors include a daughter, H. Jean Gran and her husband, Barry of Palmetto, Fla.; two sons, Lawrence M. of Auburn and Eldon J. and wife, Nina of Mishawaka, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Mark E. Tardif and Christopher S. Tardif of Connecticut, Tina, Karen and Dawn Chadburn, all of Auburn and Tony and Timmy Chadburn of California, all of whom were her passion in life along with her eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Amasa and his wife, Elizabeth of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and long-time friend, Connie Michaud and family.
She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, William; and a sister, Susan.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
