JAY – A Jay man was hurt Saturday when the throttle stuck on his snowmobile, and he struck a car on French Falls Road.

Jay police officer Russell Adams said James Buck, 43, broke a wrist, after he attempted to get his machine on a snowmobile trail and it hit a car parked at Steve’s Tune ‘N Tire. Buck was taken by ambulance to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Adams said.

The snowmobile received an estimated $2,000 damage, Adams said, and the 1993 Subaru owned by Jean Bachelder, 71, of Livermore, received about $1,500 damage.
