FAYETTE – Several organizations are joining to sponsor a free family cookout and ice fishing event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31.

The event will feature snowmobile rides, ice fishing, hot dogs and hot chocolate. Anyone interested in attending should follow the signs on the Echo Lake Road. The Hooked on Fishing – Not Drugs event is sponsored by the Fayette Rainbow Riders Snowmobile Club, Fayette School and Home Association, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
