1909 – 2004

NORWAY – Linda Wyman, 94, of Woodstock, born Lempi Korhonen on Sept. 27, 1909, to Annie (Polvinen) and Antti Korhonen in Woodstock, died in Norway Jan. 18, 2003.

She grew up in the West Paris area and graduated from Woodstock High School in 1930. She married John Wyman of North Norway on May 26, 1932; he died in January of 1974. They lived in Norway before moving to Rumford Center. In 1975, she moved to California for 15 years.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed her flower gardens and her skiing in the winter, traveling and her cat, “Mickey.”

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Knight and her husband Jim of Rumford Point; one son, John Wyman Jr. and his wife Lori of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, John Wyman and Lupita of Oceanside, Calif., Stefanie and Mark Nichols of Gray and Jamalyn Knight of Plymouth, N.H.; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Nichols and Jamieson Nichols both of Gray, Deborah Zwald, Nicholas Zwald and Kristi Zwald all of Plymouth, N.H., and Brianna Wyman and Kaylee Wyman both of Oceanside, Calif.; and two sisters, Hilda Butler and Lillian Mayberry both of Auburn.

She was predeceased by two brothers, John and William; and a sister, Laura.
