BATH – Judith James and Edward Reichert will present a theatrical cabaret-concert of Kurt Weill’s music, “Weill Things Are Happening!” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31 at the The Chocolate Church Arts Center, 798 Washington St.
Often combining passion and politics, Weill composed witty yet poignant works. Included in this program will be some of his lesser-known European songs performed in German and French, as well as many favorite melodies from his Broadway/Hollywood years. These include the popular strains of his early “Threepenny Opera” to his final and unproduced musical, “Huckleberry Finn.”
Tickets for “Weill Things Are Happening!” are $12 for members and seniors, $14 for general admission in advance and $16 at the door. For advance tickets, call 442-8455. FMI: visit chocolatechurcharts.org.
