LIVERMORE FALLS – Della P. Wheeler, 94, a long-time resident of Union Street in Livermore Falls, died Thursday, Jan. 22, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Livermore Falls, Feb. 18, 1909, the daughter of George and Winnifred Kyes Pettingill, she was a 1928 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.

On Dec. 17, 1933, she married Hedley R. Wheeler in Gorham, N.H. He passed away on July 3, 1987. She was a member of the Charity Rebekah Lodge for 75 years, where she served as district deputy marshall.

She attended the Moose Hill Baptist Church in Livermore Falls. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing.

Survivors include a son, William Wheeler and his wife, Joanne of Sanford; a daughter, Donnalee Johnsen and her husband, James of Livermore Falls; two grandchildren, Russell and Ronald Wheeler; two great-grandchildren, Jason and Amanda Doiron; five stepgrandchildren, Kristina Chamberland, James Johnsen Jr. and his wife, Marilyn, Cheryl Drabek and her husband, Donald, Bruce Johnsen and his wife, Betty and Vicki Kuvent; a great-great-grandchild, Brent Fournier; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren, Kimberly and Charles Padgett, Jaclyn Cash, Stephanie Johnsen, Erling J. Johnsen, Penny Lavways, Donyell Moody, Audrey Johnsen and Aaron and Ashley Kuvent; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren, Hannah Moody and Brooke Padgett; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters, Margie Chase, Evelyn Jones Griffin, Violet Parker and Viola Pettingill; and a granddaughter, Ronda Wheeler Doiron.
