The Jan. 31 concert will feature middle school and high school orchestras and bands.
PARIS – The District II Instrumental Music Festival will be held at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School on Friday, Jan. 30, and Saturday, Jan. 31.
This festival features musicians from a district that includes Deering, Lewiston, Auburn, Leavitt, Telstar, Windham and Oxford Hills.
The students are selected for the festival by auditions in October. High school band and orchestra students will rehearse Friday and Saturday. The middle school students will rehearse on Saturday.
The concert featuring the festival’s Middle School Orchestra, Middle School Band, High School Orchestra and High School Band will be 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in the Oxford Hills high school’s gym.
Admission is $3, with a family admission of $8. The snow date will be Wednesday, Feb. 4. For more information, people can call the Music Department at Oxford Hills, 743-8914, extension 1015.
