1927 – 2004

LEWISTON – Rita B. Grenier 76, of Barker Mill, Auburn, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Marshwood Center for Health Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Lewiston, Aug. 10, 1927, a daughter of Nazaire and Rose Bernatchez Bonenfant. She graduated from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1946.

She worked at Bates Mfg. for 17 years and at Etonic Shoe for 12 years retiring in 1985.

Mrs. Grenier was a member of St. Louis Parish and the Ladies of St. Anne’s Sodality.

She is survived by her husband, Gerard E. Grenier of Auburn whom she married June 30, 1951; a daughter, Claire Louise Grenier of Portland; a son, Michael R. Grenier of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three sisters, Irene McKeone of Hartford, Conn., Mrs. Donald Annette Beauchesne and Miss Rhea Bonenfant of Lewiston; a brother, Laureat Bonenfant and his wife Simone of Gainesville, Fla.; many nieces and nephews.
