AUBURN – Erin Lachance hit her third three-point shot of the night with 45 seconds remaining in regulation to lift North Yarmouth Academy to a 36-34 win over St. Dom’s in WMC girls’ basketball Saturday.

Molly Moss led the Panther attack with a team-high 10 points to compliment Lachance’s heroics.

Amy Gilbert paced the Saints (3-8) with a game-high 11 points including a three-pointer.

Kents Hill 54, Gould 37

KENTS HILL – Kents Hill totalled 19 steals with Jackie Gershmann-Mannocchi leading the way with seven as the Huskies posted a 54-37 win over Gould Academy in girls basketball action Saturday. Olivia Clukey led all scorers with 21 points while teammate Aleigh Mills added 11 for Kents Hill. Suzi Jump led Gould (4-8) with 19 points. Heather Kelleher added 16.

Portland Christian 51, Eastgate 28

SOUTH PORTLAND – Emily Johnson scored 12 of her game-high 20 points in the first half as Greater Portland Christian pulled away from Eastgate Christian and posted a 51-28 WMC basketball win.

In addition to Johnson, Rebecca Bauer reached double figures with 16 points for Greater Portland (14-1).

Elizabeth Tillson led Eastgate (10-4) with 11 points.

Georges Valley 61, Livermore Falls 39

LIVERMORE FALLS – Junior forward Britta Sturks drained 21 points to lift Georges Valley to a 61-39 win over Livermore Falls.

Senior Rachel Campbell contributed 16 points for the Buccaneers (3-10).

Junior guard Valen Richard paced the Andies (3-10) with 13 points.

Dirigo 45, Mtn. Valley 36

DIXFIELD – Junior guard Alexa Kaubris scored 13 points to pace Dirigo to a 45-36 victory over Moutain Valley.

Holly Knight and Brooke Weston kicked in 12 points apiece for the Cougars (14-0).

Sasha Theriault and Kristen Arsenault tallied 14 and 13 points, respectively, for the Falcons (7-7).

Falmouth 43, Poland 38

POLAND – Falmouth took advantage of Poland’s second-half foul trouble to erase a nine-point halftime deficit to post a 43-38 win over the Knights. Jill Jones led Falmouth with 16 points while Bethany Graffam contributed 12.

Sarah Lefebvre led the Knights with 11 and Meghan followed with nine.

Boys’ basketball

St. Dom’s 66, NYA 50

YARMOUTH – St. Dom’s took advantage of NYA foul trouble by pounding the ball inside in the second half to pull away and post a 66-50 win over the Panthers in schoolboy hoop action Saturday.

NYA (10-4) held a one point margin at the half, 27-26. Jeremy Richardson and Chris Rainville shared game-high scoring honors with 16 points each for St. Dom’s (11-1). Ian Pullen contributed 13 more for the Saints.

Gorham 62, G-NG 52

GRAY – Gorham turned to the press in the second quarter to break open what had been a close contest to post a 62-52 WMC basketball win over Gray-New Gloucester Saturday.

The Rams (13-1) led by 11 at the half.

Justin Brown and Matt Trask recorded 16 and 14 points respectively for Gorham to power the win. Ben Thayer added 10. The Patriots (4-10) were led by Mike Amergian with 15 points while teammate Ralf Spanheimer added a dozen.

Falmouth 75, Poland 31

POLAND — Dan Forcella scored 27 points as Falmouth stayed unbeaten with a 75-31 rout of Poland.

Bryant Barr (12) Jayson Loranger (11) and Darren Mastropoalo (10) also hit double figures for the Yachtsmen (12-0). Jon Lecznar led the Knights (5-9) with seven points.

St. Dom’s 7, Skowhegan 0

SKOWHEGAN — Tyler Martin registered a hat trick as St. Dom’s cruised past Skowhegan 7-0.

Brady Blackman stopped nine shots to earn the shutout for the Saints (8-3).

York 2, Win-Dale 1

BIDDEFORD — Tim Berrigan and Tyler Ruger scored for York as the Wildcats held off Win-Dale 2-1.

Nate Frechette scored for the Ice Dogs (3-9).

Leavitt 6, Gorham 5

AUBURN — Corey Mailhot scored with 42 seconds left as Leavitt recovered after blowing a three-goal lead to top Gorham 6-5.

Johnathan Pelletier registered a natural hat trick to give the Hornets (6-8) a 4-1 lead early in the second period.

Leavitt led 5-3 before Matt Caldwell and Alex Dahms scored in a span of 1:07 to tie it.
