CANTON – A public hearing on more than $700,000 in grants will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at the municipal building. Selectmen are expected to seek public input to accept a $250,000 community development block grant for the town’s fire station. Additional discussion items include applications for another block grant, this one for $400,000 for housing assistance, and a flood mitigation assistance grant for $98,000. Other business up for discussion includes the emergency plan ordinance and the comprehensive plan.
