LOWELL, Mass. (AP) -Mike Zigomanis extended Lowell’s season-high winning streak to six games when he scored at 2:07 of overtime to secure the Lock Monsters’ 3-2 victory over Portland Sunday.

On the winning goal, Tomas Kurka intercepted a pass and fed it up to Martin Sonnenberg, who passed to Zigomanis.

Zigomanis then wristed a 25-foot shot past Maxime Ouellet for his 10th goal of the season.

Lowell (20-17-3-3) took a 1-0 lead in the first period on a short-handed goal by Chris McNamara. But Portland (16-17-7-5) rallied to go ahead 2-1 with second period goals by Mike Pudlick and Ivan Ciernik.

Lowell defenseman Mike Commodore forced overtime when he scored with 9:27 left in regulation. Ouellet finished with 32 saves, while Lowell goalie Patrick DesRochers stopped 42 shots.
