1912 – 2004

LEWISTON – Yvonne B. Morin, 91, of 588 Roxbury Rd., Mexico, died Saturday, Jan. 24 at CMMC.

She was born in Salem, Mass., Feb. 5, 1912, a daughter of Calixte and Mary Richard. She attended schools in New Brunswick.

Mrs. Morin was a member of St. Theresa’s Parish and was a self-employed seamstress. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, cooking, hunting and fishing. She was well-known in the area for her sewing talents and many people took clothing to her for alterations.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Mathias Morin of Mexico whom she married June 30, 1941.

She is also survived by, her grandchildren and spouses, Tim and Peggy LaPointe, Steve and Jeanne LaPointe, Daniel and Laurie LaPointe, Linda and Jim Burns, Jennifer and David Warrner, Valerie and Craig Gleuck, Nicole Lane, Michael and Kathy Morin, Melissa and John Reichart; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alice McGraw of New Brunswick.

She was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law Claudette and John LaPointe; and a son and his wife, Louis and Sally Morin.
