PERU – Selectmen passed a motion Monday night asking the school superintendent to establish a policy for recycling.
The motion, submitted by Ron Chartier, passed unanimously after some selectmen said they did not think the school recycled any of its used materials.
The board also met with road Commissioner David Gammon, who submitted some estimated figures for road construction in the coming years. The figures follow a tentative plan for repairs and projects between now and 2008.
“This is nice,” said Selectman Andy St. Pierre. “People can look ahead and see what (the roads department) is planning to do. I think it’s going to be a big, big deal.”
