1927 – 2004

RUMFORD – Marguerite M. Gallant, 76, of 179 South Rumford Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, at her home.

Born in Rumford, Sept. 5, 1927, a daughter of Paul and Jeannette St. Cyr Belanger, she attended Stephens High School.

She was married to Lewis Alfred Gallant, who died Nov. 17, 1998. Mrs. Gallant was a member of St. Athanasius and St. John Parish. A homemaker, she enjoyed having her family together on special occasions (all occasions were special) and just sitting around the table listening to the stories family members would share of fond memories.

Survivors include three sons and spouses, William and Beverly Gallant of Rumford, Robert and Lisa Gallant of Mexico and Smokey and Karen Gallant of Rumford; her grandchildren, Allyson, Kim, Lisa, Angela, Stephen, Brian, Heidi, Kyle, Amy and Alex; 20 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lorraine, wife of Jim Gelensky, Yvonne Couture and Yvette Capponi, all of Rumford.

She was predeceased by her husband and three sons, Timmy, Kenny and Steve.
