Our school has introduced a new program named Exceeds the Standards, also known as ETS. In ETS we learn higher skilled math and language arts. Our ETS program is run by a new teacher named Mrs. Nale, who is also our art teacher. Mrs. Nale worked in Yarmouth, Falmouth and across the seas in Istanbul, Turkey. Mrs. Nale has never worked in a k-8 school such as ours and loves the opportunity. In our school this is new and only being introduced to fourth through eighth grades, but eventually all grades will be involved.

In the ETS program, students can find their goals and use this to become better learners and achieve higher goals for themselves. In our school, students are very excited about the program and so is Mrs. Nale. Parents and teachers decided to start the program, and because of Mrs. Nale’s teaching past, she was chosen as the teacher, and we don’t think they could have chosen one any better for our school.
