What’s the coldest season of all

that comes after fall?

Nor sunburn, nor splinter

the season is called winter!

Although you never see the sun

it is quite fun

Children come out to play

every single day

Kids go out and make snowmen

when they melt, they don’t care when

On the top is a big top hat

depends on the snowball if they’re fat

They make snowforts

They make snowports

They start great snowball fights

earning victory and more rights

It’s colder than my hopes

to go down icy slopes

As I go down snowy hills

I get filled up with thrills

Winter is mainly snow

out the door I go

The snow is mainly white

under blurry light

Over the crystal clear lakes

there is far more than just snowflakes

Ice is spread from shore to shore

covering ponds, lakes and more

Hanging over houses and roofs

over horses galloping hooves

Crystal icicles pointing down

like a beautiful housing gown

In winter Christmas is near

and it happens every year

I go out and find a tree

and decorate it till it’s pretty

Just leave out some cookies and milk

on top of a stool of loose, white silk

Eight little reindeer pulling a sleigh

making even more fun along the way

Find your stocking full of gift

in the snow the wind is swift

Find your stocking filled with coal

and you know you’ve lost your goal

At the end it’s nearly spring

the songbirds start to sing

The snow is starting to melt

and that’s the end of the belt!
