Hornets rip Greystangs

AUBURN – Four different players scored Wednesday to power Leavitt to a 4-1 hockey victory over Lisbon/Monmouth.

Brian Leighton, Jimmy Cyr, Chad Chaisson and Cory Maillet all tallied goals for the Hornets (7-9). KennyGauthier and Matt McBride split the goaltending duties for Leavitt, combining for 17 saves.

Derek Basil tallied the lone goal for Lisbon/Monmouth (0-12) at the 6:30 mark of the third period.

Boys’ basketball
Hebron 80, Kents Hill 68

HEBRON – Ari Paschal poured in 25 points as Hebron outscored Kents Hill 80-68.

Christian Mosley scored 19 points and Kenny Richard was close behind with 18 for Hebron. Kents Hills was led by Angel Perez with 33 points and Marcus Shell with 12.

Madison 59, Liv Falls 54

LIVERMORE FALLS – Randy McMullen nailed six of eight foul shots in the final two minutes to lift Madison to a 59-54 victory over Livermore Falls in boys’ basketball action Wednesday evening.

Mike Chemard led the Andies (3-12) with 24 points, while Brad Bryant contributed 13 points and nine assists.

Lake Region 87, GNG 52

GRAY – James Oberg led a group of four players to reach double digits as Lake Region rolled past Gray-New Gloucester 87-52 in boys’ basketball.

Oberg tallied 19 points, while Jon Gilson chipped in with 18 points and Josh Woodbury added 17. Jon Marstaller also contributed for the Lakers (12-3) with 16 points.

Louis Bernadini led the Patriots (4-11) with 16 points, while Seth Farrington added 11.

Girls’ basketball
K. Hill 55, Richmond 36

KENTS HILL – Olivia Clukey scored 24 points to lead Kents Hill to a 55-36 victory over Richmond Wednesday afternoon.

Asleigh Mills added 16 points and collected 22 rebounds for Kents Hill (12-0). Richmond (1-8) was lead by Sarah Coonradt with 10 points.

Madison 53, Liv. Falls 50

MADISON – Jessica Stewart netted 18 points Wednesday to pace Madison to a narrow 53-50 victory over Livermore Falls in a MVC girls’ hoops matchup.

Breanna Conners chipped in for the Bulldogs (6-9) with 10 points. Madison held a slim 22-19 lead at the half and managed to hang on for the win.

Taryn Flagg led the Andies (3-11) with a 17-point performance, while Jenika Kelly contributed 13.

Boothbay 75, Lisbon 24

LISBON – Lauren Andrews and Kayley Gallagher scored 10 points apiece to propel Boothbay to a 75-24 victory over Lisbon.

The Seahawks (11-6) stepped out to a 33-20 lead at the half and easily coasted to the victory. A total of 12 different players scored for Boothbay.

Crystal Doughty led the Greyhounds (2-15) with 12 points, while Gabrielle Mathieu added five.

Hockey

Hebron 3, New Hampton 2

HEBRON – Steph Roy scored the game winning goal with just 21 seconds left as Hebron snuck by New Hampton Academy 3-2 Wednesday afternoon. Roy added one other goal and Cindy Lebel scored one goal and had three assist for Hebron. Kerni Loranger and Zoe Louncelett scored New Hampton’s goals.
