TOPSHAM (AP) – A Topsham woman was killed Wednesday when the car she was driving crashed head-on into another vehicle on Route 201, but her young daughter survived the accident.

Tina Dall, 25, of Topsham was ejected from her Volkswagen and pronounced dead at the scene, but her toddler was strapped into a car seat and was not seriously injured, according to Topsham police Lt. Christopher Lewis.

He said Dall’s daughter, who is between 11/2 and 2 years old, was treated for facial lacerations at Parkview Hospital.

Chad Dall, 36, of Bowdoin, was driving the other car, a Chevy Tahoe. Police said he was not hurt, but that a female passenger was treated at Parkview for leg injuries.

Lewis said he didn’t know if the two drivers were related.

Route 201 was closed to traffic from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. while an accident reconstructionist from the Brunswick Police Department reconstructed the scene of the accident, which happened about a half-mile past Roller World on Route 201.

Investigators have not determined the cause of the accident.
