STANDISH – Annie McIntosh (seven points) tipped in the game-winner with no time left in regulation to lift Husson College to a 47-45 win over St. Joseph’s College to a hard-fought 47-45 win in a women’s basketball game Thursday evening.

The Braves’ Brittany Rauscher connected on a 3-pointer with 13 second left to set the stage for McIntosh’s heroics. Crystal Martin led the scoring with 12 points.

The Monks were led by Megan Tetrault and Laura Pelky with 11 and 10 points respectivley.

UNE 83, Anna Maria 59

BIDDEFORD – Seniors Missy Stults and Melissa Roller each scored 20 points to lead the University of New England to an 83-59 win over Anna Maria College in women’s basketball Thursday.

The Nor’easters converted eight 3-pointers in the first half with former Lewiston standout Kelsi Royer unloading for three long-range shots to establish a 44-26 edge.

The Amcats were led by Jen Turgeon and Jennifer Hurley with 15 points apiece.

Men’s basketball

UNE 81, Anna Maria 70

BIDDEFORD – Mark Regis scored all of his team-high 18 points in the final 11:20 of regulation to power the University of New England to an 81-70 win over Anna Maria College in Commonwealth Coast Conference basketball Thursday.

Regis hit the first of his five 3-pointers with 11:40 remaining to give the Nor’easters the lead for good at 47-45.

Matt McManus and Brandon Barthiaume chipped in with 15 and 13 points respectivley while Mark Oliver rounded out the attack with 10.

Matt Brennan paced Anna Maria with a game-high 24 points.

Wesleyan 99, St. Joe’s 67

MIDDLETON, Conn.- Senior forward Kanem Johnson scored a game-high 29 points to become the all-time scoring leader at Wesleyan University with 1,553 points over four years.

His efforts lifted Weseleyan to a 99-67 win over St. Joseph’s College Thursday afternoon.

St. Joe’s received 11 points from sophomore Curtis Nelson.

and six from junior Leroy Gore to spark 21-9 run that cut the lead to 15. Wesleyan came out on top, however, and went on a 14-4 run with five minutes remaining.
