1929 – 2004

Lewiston – Albert “Buzz” Goulet, 74, of Allen Road, Minot, died Monday Feb. 2, at Central Maine Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Lewiston, June 26, 1929, the son of Ernest and Sylvia ( Turcotte ) Goulet. He was educated in the Lewiston school system. He served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy at the age of 17 and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Goulet found employment with the City of Lewiston Public Works Dept. as an equipment operator. On september 11, 1971 he married the former Beverly Brown. He enjoyed his 27 years working at L.P.W. where he had many friends including his best friend Mike Danforth.

Retirement in 1995, didn’t stop him from weekly visits at the yard and an occassional card game with the boys after hours. He was always busy with household projects. He always looked forward to his monthly gatherings with his brothers and sisters. His Saturday visits with his children, at their homes, will be sadly missed by them. He’ll also be missed by his furry friends at home.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years; his daughter; Victoria Harvey of Poland; four sons, Robert R. Goulet of Sabattus, Steve Goulet and his wife Rachel of Greene, Kerry Goulet and his wife Mercedes of Greene, and Shane A. Goulet of Minot; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five sisters, Rachelle Henderson, Suzanne Platten, Pauline Dubois, Vivian Roy, and Charlotte Lessard; four brothers, Roger, Romeo, Paul, and George Goulet; and a special nephew, Richard Goulet.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Marcel, Richard, Raymond, and Camille Goulet.
