FRYEBURG – A Molly Ockett Middle School teenager was taken to a hospital in New Hampshire Friday after intentionally overdosing on a prescription medication, a district official said.
SAD 72 Superintendent George G. Cunningham confirmed that officials called an ambulance to take the student to Memorial Hospital in North Conway, N.H., as a precaution.
“A student deliberately took an overdose of a prescription drug that happened to be in her possession,” Cunningham said.
“To the best of my knowledge, the situation was not life threatening, but we deemed it prudent to have her checked out,” he added.
