PARIS – The Paris Conservation Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Paris Town Office meeting room. Board members are needed. The public is invited to attend. Topics include trails to be developed on town property for recreational activities. In the event of snow resulting in school cancellation, the meeting will be canceled. Game club

OXFORD – The Lake Thompson Fish and Game will meet at 6:30 p.m. beginning with a potluck supper Thursday, Feb. 5, at the clubhouse on the Paine Road in East Oxford. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited. Anyone attending the dinner is asked to bring a hot dish, salad, or dessert to share. Speaker will be Edie Leary, campaign manager of the Maine Fish and Wildlife Conservation Council, and other representatives will speak on the bear referendum. Hartford supper

HARTFORD – A public community potluck supper will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the Hartford Town Hall, Route 140. The dinner is free, but those attending are asked to bring a dish to share. Suppers are planned for the first Friday of each month. For information phone 388-2510.

NORWAY – The Commons Arts Collective will present Glove Stories and Central America with Sustainable Harvest International photographs by Scott Vlaun, at an opening reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at Fare Share Commons, 443 Main St. A talk with the artist will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 20, at the Commons. Republican caucus

NORWAY – Peter N. Connell, chairman of the Republican Committee, is inviting registered Republicans to caucus at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, in the Community Room at the Norway Town Office.

The main purpose of the biennial caucus is to allow registered voters who are enrolled in the Republican Party to elect delegates and alternates to the Republican State Convention. The convention this year will be held at the Augusta Civic Center on May 14 and 15.

Other business will include the organization of the local committee and the nomination of members to the Oxford County Republican Committee. All local Republicans are encouraged to attend the caucus and take part in the political process in the very important election year.

Benefit supper

WEST PARIS – A benefit supper for Connie and Vance Bacon will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the Universalist Church Vestry. The menu will offer baked beans, casseroles, salads, rolls and pies. Adults $6, children 12 and under, $1.50.
