1913 – 2004

PORTLAND – Sheila Sargent, 90, of Gray, passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital on Feb. 1, after a short illness.

Born in Manset on July 12, 1913, the daughter of Millard and Uldene Fernald Farrar. She married Earle Sargent in 1933, and they lived in Manset until early 1950’s. They lived in the Gray New Gloucester area until the late 1950’s living in Portland and South Portland until 1998 at which time they moved to Apple Tree Village in Gray. She enjoyed her close friends there.

She is survived by a daughter, Elaine and son-in-law, Harley Spurling; grandchildren, Roxanne and husband Richard Sullivan of Buxton, Rosanne Charland, Lee Spurling, Danny and wife Brenda Spurling of New Gloucester, Ruthanne and husand Bill Bonney, Robbie and husband Tony Orlando, Butch Spurling, Wendy Pollard of Gray, Wanda Spurling of Raymond, Roger Spurling of Eustis; and 10 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed family, going for rides and having friends visit.

She was predeceased by her husband; and a great-grandson, James Bonney.
