In the math counts competition on Nov. 20, the sixth, seventh and eighth grades in my school, Elm Street, competed. We went to the Jordan Small School in Raymond by bus. There were many schools there.
Hebron Academy took home first place in the eighth grade and the seventh grade. Jordan Middle School took home first for sixth grade.
The tests consist of six questions each. The difficulty rose at each grade level. There were three tests; group tests, geometry with calculators, and arithmetic.
The next competition will be in Hebron this spring.
We are proud to say that our sixth grade got third place in the team test.
The facilitators for our school are Karen Downing and Sharon Goss.
