Recently, the Elm Street School Gym was packed with people. They were all there to see the Winter Concert. There was excitement in the air.

The beginner band was especially excited because it was their first concert ever and they were up first. They played a few catchy tunes, including “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas” and “jingle Bells”. Up next was the fourth through sixth grade chorus. They were great and you could tell they really were having a fun time. After that was the intermediate band. Giving each instrument a separate song showed the talent of the kids.

Once this was over, the sixth and seventh grade chorus took the stage. They sang a few songs, including “Seasons of Love” featuring solos by Michelle Roberts, Alexa Doyer, and Alicia Hawley, last but not least, the advanced band gave their best performance ever on a song that didn’t come so easily. They sounded very balanced and the variety of songs was great. After they had wrapped up, everyone enjoyed treats brought my all of the parents of the musicians. All in all, it was a great night.
