PHILLIPS – Plans for designing the town’s Web site were presented to selectmen at the board’s meeting last week.
According to minutes from the meeting, Maria McManus told selectmen about the advantages of the proposed site. Its initial costs would be covered by a grant under the town’s comprehensive plan.
The town may also be eligible for a Community Development Block Grant to help pay for after-school programs. Richard Beal, who works with the programs, said that support from Avon and Phillips would help in getting the grant.
With the Phillips budget meeting coming up next month, the road commissioner is putting together information for buying a bucket loader. He hopes to have figures ready for the Feb. 10 meeting. The board also received next year’s budget figures for the fire department.
