BOSTON (AP) – Quentin Richardson scored 36 points and Elton Brand had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 95-86 win over Boston on Wednesday night as the Celtics lost their fifth straight game.

Richardson scored 14 fourth-quarter points and keyed a 17-6 run over the final 7:41 when the Clippers overcame an 80-78 deficit. Richardson knocked down a career-high eight 3-pointers.

Boston has lost nine of 11 and is 0-4 under interim coach John Carroll.

The Clippers snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Celtics.

Marko Jaric finished with three points, nine rebounds and nine assists for the Clippers, who have won three straight on the road for the first time this season.

Paul Pierce had 22 points and Jiri Welsch added 20 for the Celtics, who were outscored 25-12 in the fourth quarter.

Walter McCarty knocked down a 3-pointer that capped off a 9-0 run by the Celtics and gave them a 35-34 lead. The Clippers responded with an 8-0 run of that included five straight points by Elton Brand.

There were 13 lead changes and 12 ties through the first three quarters.

Notes: Corey Maggette, the Clippers’ leading scorer, was not in the lineup due to a sprained ankle he suffered Monday. … Boston is one of six teams in the Eastern Conference with a losing record at home, while no team in the Western Conference has a losing record on its home court. … Ricky Davis scored 13 points off the bench for Boston. … Boston is 3-7 at home against Western Conference teams and 6-1 on the road.
