• Feb. 3, 12:25 a.m.: An unattended death of a 45-year-old resident of Woodland Avenue. The incident is not under investigation.

• Jan. 31: Clifford Stewart of Leavitt Street reported that someone stole his 1999 Ski-Doo touring snowmobile, which was parked in his yard with three other snowmobiles.

Chief James Theriault said the theft occurred sometime between 4:30 and 7 p.m. on Jan. 30, after the Stewart family parked the snowmobiles and went out for supper. The stolen sled, which is bright blue with yellow Ski-Doo lettering on the side, was the only one in the yard with keys in the ignition.

Based on evidence at the scene, investigating officer Michael Buotte said the snowmobile was driven down Leavitt Street to Route 2 and into a parking lot, where it was either loaded into a pickup truck or driven down the road.

• Jan. 31, 12:15 a.m.: Police responded to a reported assault at Tommy Guns Pitstop, a bar at 45 Roxbury Road (Route 17), and learned that a man, Carl Grant, 43, of Peru, allegedly hit another man in the face with a glass, Theriault said.

After investigating, Grant was arrested and charged with assault, operating under the influence, possession of marijuana, and possession of cocaine. He was transported to Oxford County jail in Paris.

• Jan. 24, 8:15 p.m.: Rosemary Pease, 35, of Mexico, on a charge of speeding, 41 in a 25 mph zone on Main Street.

• Jan. 24, 2:15 p.m.: Richard Finnegan, 26, of Peru, on a charge of speeding, 53 in a 25 mph zone on Highland Terrace.
