Steven Ragatz, a Cirque du Soleil performer, will be the special guest when The Oddfellow Theater in Buckfield presents its monthly “The Early Evening Show” with Mike Miclon.

The shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6 and 7.

Over six years, Ragatz performed in Cirque du Soleil’s “Mystere” in Las Vegas and toured North America with the French-Canadian circus’ internationally renowned production “Quidam.”

Ragatz also has performed on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and the “Today” show.

“We are thrilled to bring our audiences a performer of this caliber,” said Miclon, host of the “The Early Evening Show.” “Steven’s new act is breathtaking, a combination of incredible skill and beautiful images.”

This will be the Maine premiere of Ragatz’s new juggling piece, inspired by the Belgian painter René Magritte.

“The Early Evening Show” has been a major monthly event at The Oddfellow Theater since it opened in 1998. They call it “TV outside the box,” with Miclon hosting a frenzy of comedy, music, juggling and surprise guests. This is a live version of a late-night talk show, complete with co-host Amanda Huotari, “The Early Evening Show” orchestra and a live studio audience. With news updates, comedy sketches, live “commercials” and interviews, audiences never know who will show up or show off. CBS’ “Sunday Morning” called it “must see reality,” and The Bangor Daily News said it’s “a seamless, hilarious production.”

The Oddfellow Theater is on Route 117. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at Northeast Bank in Buckfield or call 336-3306. FMI: visit www.oddfellow.com.
