BUXTON – David B. Hobson, 62, of Proprietors Road died on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at his home.
He was born in Portland, a son of Herbert N. Edith (Wright) Hobson. He attended school in Wells and was a graduate of Wells High School.
He worked as a machinist for 30 years at Southworth Machine, Portland and his remaining working years at Maine Rubber International, Gorham.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, reading and going to all auto races. He was an avid do-it-yourselfer.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Sally; sons, Jeffrey Hobson of Poland, Ronald Hobson of Monmouth, Eric Hobson of Hollis; daughter, Candith Adams of Westbury, Long Island; brothers, Herbert Hobson Jr. of Standish, Daniel Hobson of Sanford; a sister, Sherri Dumont of Limerick; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and in his heart his other daughter, Victoria Huff of Biddeford.
