1975 – 2004

RUMFORD – Thomas Edward Garcia, 28, of Rumford died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 2, at the Rumford Hospital.

He was born Dec. 26, 1975, in Marlborough, Mass., the son of Thomas E. Cowdrey and Gayle A. Garcia. He was educated in the schools of Marlborough and Skowhegan. He worked for Hannaford Bros. in Rumford for the past few years as a night stock worker. He is a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Rumford.

“Tom” loved his daughter Haley very much and also music, and art, and will be remembered for his kind heart.

He is survived by his long time companion, Chrystal R. Nersessian and his daughter, Haley Rose Garcia both of Rumford; his father, Thomas and his companion Helen Crider of Rumford; his mother, Gayle Newcomb and her husband Donald of Madison; a brother, Denis Cowdrey of Rumford; his grandfather, Denis P. Garcia; uncles, David Girard and his wife Karen, and Ray Girard and his wife Sharon both of Hudson, Mass.; close friends, Mike and Mark; and many other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Hannah Faith Garcia; and his grandmother, Molly Garcia.
