FARMINGTON – A series of meetings called Working With Your Woodlot will be held during February and March at Mount Blue High School.
The meetings will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, and continue on consecutive Tuesdays except for school vacation on Feb. 16.
Subjects to be covered include introduction to agroforestry, estate planning, timberstand improvement, managing for wildlife, landowner relations program (public use of private land), planning for a timber harvest, marketing forest products, timber trespass, woodland certification and a field trip.
There will be a $10 charge for course materials.
The course will be canceled after the first night if less than 10 people are registered.
