1914-2004
SKOWHEGAN – Armand G. Michaud, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Cedar Ridge Nursing Care Center in Skowhegan. Formerly of Andover, he resided on Madison Avenue in Skowhegan.
He was born in St. Basil, N.B., Canada on June 6, 1914, a son of Felix and Olive (Lavoie) Michaud, and had attended schools in Caribou.
Mr. Michaud had worked as head mechanic at the John Deere Dealership in Rumford and also for R.J. Swain and for Andover Wood Products.
He was married in Rumford, on July 2, 1942, to the former Florence Meisner who survives of Skowhegan. Other survivors include: two sons, Thomas Michaud of Machias and Tim Michaud and wife, LeAnn, of New Hartford, Ct.; two daughters, Victoria Bolduc and husband, Robert, of Skowhegan, and Leigh Ganung and husband, Jeff, of Winstead, Ct.; two brothers Orvilla Michaud and wife, Lillian, of Caribou, and Edward Michaud and wife, Irene, of New Sweden; a half-brother, Clifton Michaud of Lebanon, Ct.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Peter Michaud; two sisters, Annie Longley of Caribou and Lida Yula of Green Lake; three brothers, Omer Michaud of Columbia, Ct., Gilbert Michaud of Caribou and Carol Michaud of Caribou.
