LEWISTON – The Thomas E. Lahey Foundation announces its scholarship recipients for 2003-04. This year’s recipients are:

Ashley Albert, a graduate of Lewiston High School, attending the University of New England. She is the daughter of Dick and Joline Albert of Lewiston.

Sara Bolduc, a graduate of Edward Little High School, attending the University of Southern Maine. She is the daughter of Randy and Dawn Bolduc of Auburn.

Nathan Cleveland, a graduate of Edward Little High School, attending Tufts University. He is the son of John and Debora Cleveland of Auburn.

Gena Gaudreau, a graduate of Lewiston High School, attending the University of Rhode Island. She is the daughter of Victor and Irene Gaudreau of Lewiston.

Luke Robinson, a graduate of Edward Little High School, attending Bryant College. He is the son of Lawrence Robinson and Linda Morin, both of Auburn.

Amy Sarrazin, a graduate of Lewiston High School, attending Quinnipiac University. She is the daughter of Paul and Patricia Sarrazin of Lewiston.

Jocelyn Woodward, a graduate of Edward Little High School, attending St. Michael’s College. She is the daughter of Arthur Woodward III and Faith Ivins Hunn Barker of Auburn.

The Thomas E. Lahey Foundation was established to honor Tom Lahey, an outstanding Lewiston athlete and successful businessman who died Oct. 3, 1987, at the age of 43.

The purpose is to assist local youth in the pursuit of excellence in academic, athletic and cultural activities.

Since its inception the foundation has raised more than $200,000 and awarded nearly $90,000 in scholarships.

Fund-raisers include a bowling tournament and a golf tournament, date to be announced.
