DIXFIELD – Aside from reports from department heads, selectmen are to discuss a frequently tabled road issue at their 4:30 p.m. meeting, Monday, Feb. 9, in the Ludden Memorial Library Community Room.

Pending the presence of a full board, selectmen are expected to revisit the Child Hollow issue, which concerns a private road, and an outdated, confusing town ordinance.

At a previous meeting, selectmen rebuffed the road builder and property owners, who asked that a warrant article be drafted to allow town meeting voters to decide whether or not the town should accept Child Hollow Road as a town road.

Last year, selectmen voted 3-0 against accepting it, saying it first needs to be paved, but the ordinance does not clearly indicate this.

The item has been placed on past board meeting agendas since the vote, but tabled each time due to the lack of a full board.

Other discussion items include a capital improvement program for the Water Department, a junkyard permit, and proceeds from the Maine State Retirement System.

An executive session is scheduled to discuss a personnel issue.
