FARMINGTON – Selectmen are scheduled to discuss the town’s role in maintaining the proposed rail trail bridge and trail improvements Tuesday.

A rail-trail committee intends to apply for a federal grant to improve a 14.5 mile motorized recreation trail from Jay to Farmington and rebuild a bridge over the Sandy River in West Farmington to connect it to downtown Farmington.

Town Manager Richard Davis said he plans to discuss with selectmen what responsibility the town would have if the bridge is rebuilt.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building.
