LEWISTON – Advocates for Children, the child abuse prevention agency in Androscoggin County, is offering a 45-hour course, “Responding to Child Abuse,” for educators and other professionals.

The course will provide the opportunity to learn more about child abuse and neglect issues from professionals who present topics in their fields of expertise.

Topics will include the legal system, protecting children on-line and medical perspectives of child abuse and neglect.

The course will be offered from 5:30 to 8 p.m. March 1 through May 24 at Central Maine Medical Center. Participants will receive 4.5 continuing education units upon course completion. Fee is $185. For registration information contact Advocates for Children at 783-3990 or e-mail [email protected].
