LEWISTON – The Jesus Party, a Pentecostal kids’ church, will hold its annual Valentine’s Ice Cream Social for children ages 5 and over at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13.

The event will be held at the ministry’s headquarters located at 291 Bates St. Sonia Taylor, director, will have a special time of discussion and input with the children on “Love is?” and what the Bible has to say about it.

The children will sing Bible-based love songs and will also view a 25-minute videotape that will educate them on the origin of Valentine’s Day. The children will learn about the third-century martyr St. Valentine and his friends as they show what it means to love one another as Jesus loves us.

Every child who attends the social will receive a red rose and a bag of candy to take home to their parents. For a ride or more information on upcoming events, call 786-5568.
