RUMFORD – Rumford’s Relay For Life Relay Rally, the American Cancer Society’s signature event, will be held May 21-22 at Hosmer Field in Rumford.
The Relay For Life-Rumford committee will host a relay rally at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at the Eagles Club on Oxford Avenue. A spaghetti dinner will be followed by two guest speakers, Tammy Burgess and Sue Ellis, along with raffles and drawings during the evening. All cancer survivors, their families and the Relay for Life teams are invited to attend.
Relay For Life in May is 18 hours of fun to raise money to fight cancer. Teams of eight to 15 people take turns walking around a track for 18 hours. Families, corporations, clubs, hospitals, churches, temples, and schools all organize relay teams.
