1935 – 2004

AUBURN – Roland L. “The Yodeler” Bolduc, 68, of 27 Winn St., Lewiston, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Clover Manor following a long illness surrounded by his family.

He was born in Skowhegan on Dec. 5, 1935, the son of Joseph and Alice (Rancourt) Bolduc. He had been a resident of this community since 1948, and was employed in the shoe industry. He was member of SS Peter & Paul Church. He loved to entertain.

He was a professional country western yodeler and appeared on the Ted Mack Amateur Hour twice and appeared several times as a special guest on The Ken McKenzie Show. Mr. Bolduc also enjoyed playing several musical instruments. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Army National Guard of Lewiston.

He is survived by two sons, Paul Bolduc, Marcel Bolduc and his wife Cynthia both of Auburn; one daughter, Rosemarie Pomerleau and her husband Garry of Auburn; one brother, Gerard Bolduc of Lewiston; one sister, Theresa Moreau and her husband Aimee of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
